The
Secret Place ... Read Primary Chronicle
You
Complete Me! …The Chronicle
Man cannot complete the butterfly!
A man found a cocoon. He watched it for days on end. One day a small
opening appeared. As he watched he became impatient with the slow
progress and the struggle that ensued. Finally he decided that he would
help complete the process. With a small pair of scissors he snipped the
opening so that the butterfly could easily emerge.
He was expecting it to burst forth in splendor; instead it appeared with
a swollen body and shriveled wings. The butterfly never was able to fly.
In the secret place, away from external opinions and influence, the
caterpillar waits patiently; resting in the knowledge that God surely
knows what it will be when the process is complete. Since the caterpillar
doesn’t know what a butterfly looks like, it cannot “work” to become one.
The Lord gently says, “Rest during the process my beloved. Your only
struggle will be just before you come forth into destiny. Even then, know
that the struggle has a purpose …to strengthen your wings to fly so you
can show forth the glory and majesty of your creator”.
Though the hands of self and man may have touched you …with the “best of”
and perhaps the “worst of” intentions …you can rest in the assurance that
there is nothing that your God cannot restore. Say to Him, “In the
secret place, you have provided all that I need. I rest, sheltered in
your hands. You protect, restore, nurture and love me. You complete me
oh Lord”.
If the hand of man has inflicted pain, damage or devastation, you do not
have to remain crippled, unable to fly, for you are a God of restoration
and completion.
